Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we are currently unable to offer our range of veterinary acupuncture courses. We are working on the provisoin of online education, so please bear with us and keep an eye on the website for further details.
Whether you are interested in taking the first steps towards veterinary acupuncture or you are an established acupuncturist looking to further their skills, the ABVA has something for you.
Taking place at venues around the UK, our courses are taught by lecturers with a wealth of experience and a real passion for their subject. Teaching is friendly, informal and contains a practical content far higher than your average CPD. They are great value too!
Browse our upcoming courses below - if you have any questions or would like to make an enquiry about our teaching or any other aspect of veterinary acupuncture, please get in touch using our contact form.
Please note that you must be a qualified veterinary surgeon and a member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons to attend an ABVA course.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are currently unable to run the Foundation Course. The course involves face-to-face tuition in a large group in venues which must continue to operate their primary roles as charities. We await updates from the Government as to when events such as these may take place.
The ABVA is currently in the process of formulating an online provision of the theory of the Foundation Course to be accompanied by practical days. Details of this will be available as soon as possible.
The ABVA Foundation Course is primarily a practical one for veterinary surgeons who are new
to acupuncture or those who wish to refresh their knowledge. The information we give you
stands firmly on a Western clinical diagnosis and an understanding of acupuncture’s
neurophysiological mechanisms; but to broaden your experience we would like to introduce you
to some of the historical and traditional concepts from which this ancient form of medicine
evolved. This is just the beginning of this fascinating subject.
